## About

PakkeVægt helps Danish webshops comply with packaging producer responsibility regulations (DPA). The product uses shipment evidence to estimate and verify packaging consumption, then surfaces what is confirmed, what is estimated, and what still needs user review.

## How It Works

### Shipmondo API path
1. User connects Shipmondo with API credentials
2. PakkeVægt imports shipment history and continues with scheduled syncs
3. Shipments are grouped into packaging templates by service code and weight interval
4. Confirmed mappings count as verified totals
5. Estimated or unresolved templates remain visible for review and are not silently mixed into verified totals

### Shipmondo CSV path
1. User exports shipment history from Shipmondo
2. User uploads the CSV to PakkeVægt
3. PakkeVægt parses the shipment rows and prepares packaging templates
4. User confirms mappings and gets a DPA-ready packaging overview

## Scope Notes

- PakkeVægt is not a shipping platform or label-buying tool
- PakkeVægt does not currently support direct API integrations for nShift, CoolRunner, Webshipper, or other platforms
- Unsupported integration status pages may still exist on the site, but they are not promises of live support

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Which shipping platform does PakkeVægt support?
Shipmondo only. Both direct API integration and Shipmondo CSV upload are supported.

### Does PakkeVægt store customer data from shipments?
PakkeVægt stores packaging-relevant shipment data such as service type, weight, and timestamps. It does not store recipient names, addresses, or order contents as part of the Shipmondo compliance flow.

### What is the 8-ton threshold?
If a business uses under 8,000 kg of packaging annually, it must still report to DPA but does not pay packaging fees. Above 8 tons, reporting and fee payment both apply.

### What if a Shipmondo connection breaks?
PakkeVægt marks the integration as needing reconnect, keeps the failure state visible in the UI, and exposes admin repair and revalidation tools.
